Born in 1977, Koralie comes from Montpellier in Southern France, where she lives and works. She graduated in architecture and started to work in agencies, then experienced the televisions universe when working as a set designer for tv advertisings. She shows her work since the age of 19, but decided to focus entirely on her artistic work since the past few years
Koralie is inspired by Japanese illustrations, from the XIIIth-century prints to the mangas. Her characters, on walls or on canvases, are as many references to the eccentric manga culture and to the images derived from traditional Japan. She has achieved to create, with her geishas, a graphic icon mixing sensuality and modesty, elegance and flashy colors.
